Focus Your message more on Holiness than on Prosperity -- Kumuyi charges Church Leaders

As the fifth Anniversary of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi, GCK, draws to a close, Preachers have been advised to focus more on salvation and holiness instead of dwelling on prosperity which may impact negatively on the spiritual growth of the people.

The Convener of the GCK and General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor W. F. Kumuyi gave the advice on Sunday at a global worship service of the Church beamed from Lagos, the Church headquarters .

He said when preachers focus more on prosperity instead of salvation and holiness the church would create an avenue for members to fall into the temptation of getting rich quick syndrome which may ultimately derail their heavenly race.

The Man of God said most youths and even adults have engaged in cybercrime as they now see it as the easiest means to make wealth and to be successful in life adding that some of them were being encouraged by the messages they hear from the pulpit.

In a message titled, Faithfully Continuing with Christ until the Crowning Day, Pastor Kumuyi, urged Christians to resist temptation and the tempter, and to live for Christ, love Him and live like Him daily.

The GCK Convener who had over the years taken the gospel to countries within and outside African, warned Preachers not drown the truth of the gospel but to shun tradition and uphold the truth always.

While highlighting the dangers of adulterating the gospel of Christ , the GCK Convener appealed to Christian to abide by the truth, always speak the truth and stand by the truth no matter the hardship, persecution and temptation that may come their way.

The five day GCK anniversary which ends on Sunday witnessed ministration of songs, visual presentations of activities of the GCK since its inception and testimonies from participants recorded during the period under review.
