Akugbene community, the headquarters of Akugbene-Mein kingdom has thrown its weight behind the reelection of Hon. Nicholas Mutu, Gov Sheriff Oborevwori and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
The community members, comprising chiefs from the palace of Akugbene-Mein kingdom, along with the elderly, women and youth, gathered at the community square to express their support for the three candidates.
Hon. Ayakeme Karuna from Akugbene Ward 9, Mr. Pius Ebikone from Akugbene Ward 8 and Hon. Okubokekeme Eric Edougha from Akugbene Ward 7, speaking on behalf of the three wards, praised Hon Mutu for his steadfastness and dedication in influencing developmental projects in the Federal Constituency.
They commended Gov Oborevwori for his commitment to providing democratic dividends to riverine communities, and assured the governor that the people of Akugbene were determined to cast bulk vote for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2027 general elections.
The three speakers separately moved motions for their endorsements for the 2027 general elections. This motions were seconded by Mr. David Amakepreye, Mr. Ebibenabo Tarebor and Apostle Agbono Ogudeke, who represented the three wards, and they were approved by the community.
The current wave of endorsements for Mutu's re-election to the Green Chambers by his constituents is viewed as a testament to his acceptance by the people he represents.
