2027: Bomadi women endorse Mutu, Oborevwori, Tinubu's re-election

Mutu commended for influencing numerous federal projects as Akugbene joins wave of endorsement

Women in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State, have added their voice to the widespread endorsement of the sitting lawmaker representing Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency, Hon. Nicholas Ebomo Mutu, advocating for his re-election in the 2027 general elections.

The women also endorsed Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for their re-election in 2027.

The endorsements were made during a meeting on Monday in Bomadi, where the women highlighted Mutu's efforts in bringing federal attention to the community. They noted that over 70% of the roads were developed through the lawmaker's influence.

The meeting, organized by the chairlady of Bomadi, Hon. Doris Gbigbi, who is the assistant woman leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Bomadi Local Government Executive Committee, also highlighted Personal Voter's Cards (PVCs) as essential tools for supporting the candidates.

In her speech, Hon. Gbigbi emphasized that the women of Bomadi community were determined to support Hon. Mutu, Gov. Oborevwori and President Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, asserting that nothing would deter them from voting for their chosen leaders.

She encouraged all women to get their PVCs ready, referring to them as the key to electing their preferred leaders for governance beyond 2027.

"We, the women of Bomadi, the administrative centre of Bomadi local government area, have decided to re-elect Hon. Nicholas Mutu to the House to allow him to continue his commendable work of fostering development in Bomadi and surrounding communities.

"We have also taken the decision to cast our votes for our performing governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to enable them finish strong.

"As we all know, our governor is performing very well and he must be given the opportunity to complete the Renewed Hope for More Agenda for the good of all Deltans.

"Our purpose here is to ensure that our mothers and sisters keep their weapons, which are their Voter's Cards, secure. We have made a decision that will benefit our constituency", Hon. Gbigbi stated.

In the same vein, Mrs Awini Fuobor, popularly known as Bomadi Mama, on her part asserted that the essence of the gathering was to make an open declaration in their support for Hon. Mutu, who is a great help to his constituents.

"Hon. Mutu is too good to go back to the House of Representatives to continue his good job of attracting development to the constituency. We are in the boat of Mutu, Gov. Oborevwori and President Tinubu and there is no shaking", she enthused.

Others who spoke in similar vein included Chief Ogboin-amaere Clark, a.k.a. Ezonyin, Mrs Zomona-ere Macaulay Perekpor, Mrs Lucky Okini and Mrs Mozimo, assuring the trio of their firm decision to cast their votes for the ruling APC in 2027.

Highlight of the occasion was the passing of a vote of confidence and endorsement of Hon. Mutu, Gov. Oborevwori and President Tinubu for re-election in 2027.

Also, Akugbene, the headquarters of Akugbene-Mein kingdom and home community of Hon. Mutu, also joined the endorsement spree, Tuesday, as the community folk converged on the community square to show solidarity with the lawmaker.

Hon. Ayakeme Karuna from Akugbene Ward 9, Mr. Pius Ebikone from Akugbene Ward 8 and Hon. Okubokekeme Eric Edougha from Akugbene Ward 7 jointly proposed the motion to endorse the trio. This motion was simultaneously seconded by Mr. David Amakepreye and Mr. Ebibenabo Tarebor, who represented the three wards, and it received the community's approval.

Hon. Karuna said: "Being satisfied with the impressive performance of our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Elder Sheriff Oborevwori and Hon. Nicholas Ebomo Mutu OFR, I hereby move the motion for endorsement of the trio for re-election in 2027", Hon. Karuna said.

However, the current wave of endorsements for Mutu's re-election to the Green Chambers by his constituents is viewed as a testament to his acceptance by the people he represents.
