Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ndokwa, Ukwuani Federal Constituency have unanimously adopted Rt. Hon. Ossai Nicholas Ossai as the party’s sole candidate for the 2027 House of Representatives election.
The decision was reached during a widely attended stakeholders’ meeting in Obiaruku, which drew party leaders from all 30 federal wards in the three LGAs of the constituency.
Party leaders described Ossai as the most credible, competent and strategic choice for the constituency, citing his legislative experience and past performance in the National Assembly.
A former three-term member of the House of Representatives, Ossai was praised for his previous achievements, including constituency projects, lawmaking contributions and advocacy for the welfare and development of the people of Ndokwa, Ukwuani FederalConstituency.
APC leaders said his return to the National Assembly would boost the constituency’s visibility, influence and access to federal opportunities.
The adoption was endorsed unanimously by ward leaders, youth groups, women groups and other stakeholders, who pledged full support for his candidacy.
In his acceptance speech, Ossai thanked the party leadership and constituents for the confidence reposed in him, promising dedicated service, inclusive representation and effective leadership.
He also pledged to pursue key development projects, including the step-down of the Okpai Independent Power Plant in Kwale, expansion of the Teaching Hospital for the Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Kwale, infrastructure development across communities, and human capital empowerment programmes.
Ossai further called on party members and residents to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in 2027, saying their continued leadership would sustain national and state development.
The meeting ended with a call for unity among party members ahead of the 2027 general elections.
