Indigenes of Bomadi local government residing in Bayelsa State, have expressed their unwavering support for the reelection of Hon Nicholas Mutu, member representing Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency, in the 2027 general elections.
They commended the lawmaker for his remarkable performance in infrastructural development youth training and empowerment initiatives throughout the constituency over the years.
At a meeting on Friday in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, convened to evaluate the lawmaker's performance,
the Coordinator, Prince Perekeme Ogbogbo,noted that Mutu had a proven track record, ranging from influencing impactful projects such as roads, concrete landing jetties, community electrification, school classroom buildings, concrete pavements, and solar street lights, among others.
He also commended the lawmaker for facilitating employment opportunities for the teeming youth in the federal civil service.
He emphasized that Mutu's contributions were substantial across various endeavours and deserving of commendation.
Mr. Andakabowei Emotongha Amos, from Ogbein-ama community, also emphasized Mutu's accomplishments in infrastructure and empowerment, asserting that his return would ensure continued progress in the constituency.
Mr. Fred Bowene, representing Okoloba Community, said that constituents who recognized Mutu's influence could not afford to lose such a genius in the Nigerian political arena.
Others who spoke in similar vein included Mr. Nichodemus Mutu from Esanma Community, Chief Johnbull Koru Keleye of Ogodobiri Community, Ms. Akpos Francis representing Akugbene Community, Comrade Brizimor Peretunbofa Cliff from Bomadi Community, and Mr. Brodrick Owota of Kpakiama Community, among others.
The meeting also evaluated Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori's performance in infrastructure and human capital development in Delta State. They praised the governor's developmental efforts in the riverine communities of the state.
The highlight of the meeting was a motion endorsing the re-election of Hon. Mutu and Gov. Oborevwori in 2027, moved by the Coordinator, Prince Ogbogbo, seconded by Mr. Layerin from Ogriagbene Community and adopted by the Bomadi LGA Community in Bayelsa State.
