Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has formally accepted the call by indigenes of Kogi Central and her teeming supporters across the country to contest the forthcoming senatorial election in 2027.
In a brief statement posted on her Facebook page and addressed to the indigenes of Kogi Central, the firebrand Senator expressed deep gratitude to the people of Kogi Central over their call and endorsement to contest the 2027 Kogi Central Senatorial election.
"With deep gratitude, I hear your call and overwhelming endorsements to contest for the 2027 Kogi Central Senatorial Elections."
While responding positively to the call, Senator Natasha pledged to remain steadfast in her commitment to serve constituency with greater purpose.
Senator Natasha is a trailblazer, outspoken, and combative senator, who mixes legal/business expertise with grassroots philanthropy. Supporters see her as a defender
of women’s rights and institutional accountability.
She is generally credited for breaking gender barriers in Kogi politics, combining courtroom tenacity with grassroots outreach.
The vibrant Senator was called to Bar in 2005, with LLM and MBA in Oil & Gas Management from University of Dundee.
She Worked in legal counsel, oil & gas, and founded businesses before politics.
