Ndokwa West Local Government Area has reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive development, as the administration of Chairman Chief Obi Nzete continues to record visible progress across key sectors in the council area.
A major highlight of the administration is the ongoing construction of an ultramodern legislative building at the council secretariat in Kwale.
The facility is designed to accommodate over 50 offices, a legislative chamber, a conference hall, and a library, aimed at strengthening legislative and administrative efficiency at the grassroots level.
In the health sector, the administration has renovated Primary Healthcare Centres in Ulogwe-Isumpe and Emu-Obodoeti, equipped them with modern medical facilities, and advanced the construction of a Cottage Hospital within the council secretariat.
Residential quarters for medical personnel are also being developed to improve healthcare delivery and staff welfare.
The education sector has also benefited from interventions, including the renovation and fencing of Ndokwa West Nursery and Primary School, Kwale, with plans to extend similar upgrades to other schools across the local government area to enhance learning environments and school safety.
Infrastructure development remains a key focus, with road grading projects in Emu Kingdom to improve access to farmlands and ease transportation.
In addition, the construction of a garri storage facility and lock-up shops at Nkwor Market, Onicha Ukwuani, is aimed at boosting local commerce and strengthening economic activities.
At the community level, councillors across the ten wards executed constituency projects such as solar street lighting, renovation of Obi Ogwa halls in Umusedeli Ogbe and Ulogwe-Isumpe, and provision of mono pumps in Abbi to enhance access to clean water.
The administration also intensified efforts in security and environmental management through regular sanitation exercises in Kwale and surrounding communities, as well as timely interventions on security concerns, contributing to improved safety and reduced flooding risks.
Chief Nzete’s administration further noted that these projects align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu and the development vision of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, as Ndokwa West continues to experience steady and appreciable growth.
