Protect Your Future , Avoid illicit Drugs .. Rivers State NYSC Coordinator Warns Youth Corps Members

*ILLICIT DRUGS ARE DESTINY DESTROYERS, CORPS MEMBERS WARNED AT NDLEA RALLY*

Youth Corps Members have been asked not to indulge in the use of illicit drugs in order not to destroy their destinies.

The State Coordinator NYSC Rivers State, Mr. Moses Oleghe stated this Saturday at the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) War Against Drug Abuse rally held at the NYSC permanent orientation camp in the State.

Represented by the Camp Director, Mr. Barnax Uloneme,Mr Oleghe charged the Corps Members to be drug free ambassadors by taking the knowledge gained from the 3-day NDLEA sensitization to the nooks and crannies of the communities in Rivers State.

He recounted incidences where some Corps Members became nuisances to their families and larger society because of drug abuse.

Earlier, the Head of NDLEA on camp, Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics Odot Etukudo, had decried the rising reports of youths indulging in drug abuse.

She enjoined the Corps Members to run from friends and family members who would encourage them to experiment with drugs as it was a license to destruction of their lives and dreams.
