The Secretary to the Rivers State Government and Chairman NYSC State Governing Board, Dr. Dagogo Wokoma has described the NYSC Scheme as a formidable institution for mentoring and molding graduates for the overall development of the country.
Dr Wokoma who stated this thursday in Portharcourt when he received the State Coordinator NYSC Rivers State, Mr. Moses Oleghe, expressed delight with the enormous contributions of Corps Members especially in the area of teaching and learning, as well as rural healthcare delivery.
He promised the Scheme of the continuous support of the Rivers state government in the successful execution of its programmes and activities in the state.
Dr. Wokoma assured the State Coordinator of a fruitful working relationship that would benefit the Scheme and the people of Rivers State.
Earlier, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe had informed the SSG that his visit was to congratulate him on his appointment and to brief him on the activities of the Scheme in the State.
He expressed optimism that Dr. Wokoma's tenure would attract more developments for the Scheme.
