Corps Members have been told to embrace wholeheartedly the NYSC Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme in order to engineer economic emancipation and growth for themselves.
Rivers State NYSC Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe stated this Tuesday during the flag off of SAED in-camp training for 2026 Batch A Stream II Corps Members deployed to Rivers State.
He said that the new face of NYSC is SAED because it was tailored towards tackling unemployment, underemployment, and youth dependency in the nation.
Mr. Oleghe charged the Corps Members to be abreast with modern skills such as digital marketing, graphics design, web development, data analytics, coding, content creation, e-commerce, cybersecurity and other technology-driven skills that were in high-demand locally and internationally.
He concluded by assuring them that they would receive post-camp training support from the Scheme if they remained consistent, committed, disciplined, and intentional to add value to themselves through the SAED programme.
In a remark, the SAED officer, Mrs. Carol Chukwu enjoined the Corps Members not to disappoint themselves and their families by neglecting the SAED programme.
She encouraged them to acquire a skill of their choice In line with their passion, and assured them of the availability of funding institutions that were there to support them.
