A top APC Chieftain and former Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has formally resigned his membership from the All Progressives Congress (APC) with immediate effect.
Eze Madumere who disclosed this in a letter addressed to the APC Ward Chairman of Ezinihitte Ward, Mbieri, in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State, said his decision followed deep personal reflection on his political journey within the party.
The former deputy governor described the move as difficult but necessary, noting that it was time for him to explore new paths.
He, however, expressed appreciation for the relationships built over the years,and sued for continued cordiality and cooperation among party members in the collective pursuit of a better Nigeria.
“Thank you for your understanding. Please accept my best wishes always,” he stated.
Given his status and high profile in the Imo state APC, the resignation has sent shock waves in the state and beyond as he is known to command large followership not only in his senatorial District but across Imo state.
